Baltan Open Labs is an active community for inspiration, imagination, suggestion and improvement. It is a free experimental space away from a work-related context, where you can create sustainable links with engineers, designers, artists, scientists, doers, thinkers, and other creatives… and give your project (or someone else’s) the potential to grow and reach more and new audiences.

We are currently looking for interesting projects to be presented in Baltan's second thematic Open Lab, which is focused on wearables and smart textiles.  This session is part of the Arcintex Conference: Shaping (un)common grounds program, and industrial partners, PhD students, artists and other people interested in smart textiles for wearables, interior and architecture will have the opportunity to meet each other, demonstrate their projects, and share knowledge by actively working together.

Baltan Open Labs is an initiative designed to rapidly move an idea through innovative concept to product co-creation.  This ‘hands-on’ session will center around a selection of projects from the Baltan Open Labs network.  By joining forces with the Arcintex international network of students and experts, the aim is not only to bring these projects to a next level but also to create new connections, share ideas and expand the community.

Do you have a project within these two themes that you want to discuss or work on with others? Let us know as soon possible: intern(at)
